In the morning:
Spend 30 minutes using one of the Bible reading methods on James 1:2-3 and Romans 5:3. Where are you most easily triggered? How does that trigger put you in touch with God or out of touch with God? How can you learn endurance through suffering?
At noon:
Spend 5-15 minutes in solitude and silence, enjoying the presence of God.
In the evening:
Spend 15-20 minutes doing the Spend 15-20 minutes doing the Daily Examen. .
- Acknowledge how God’s presence was with you through the day. Although the day may seem confusing, ask God to bring you clarity and understanding
- Count your blessings and give thanks. Pay attention even to the small details of the day – God was in every part of your day.
- Pay attention to your emotions. What can you learn about yourself from God as you review your emotions from the day?
- Choose one feature of the day and pray from it. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you to something during the day that God thinks is particularly important.
- Look forward to tomorrow. Ask God to give you light for tomorrow’s challenges.
