Join us tomorrow as we continue the Holy Habits sermon series. Tomorrow, Dr. Chad Raith will be teaching about the Holy Habit/Spiritual Discipline of Worship & Celebration. See you tomorrow at church!


In the morning:

The world is broken and full of need. What can you do to put you in solidarity with someone’s brokenness? For example, visiting a nursing home, a prison, a shut-in; serve at a homeless shelter; provide resources through the Christmas Shoebox or OneBag Initiative. What can you do to “offer a cup of cold wager in Jesus’ name”?

At noon:

Spend 5-15 minutes in solitude and silence, enjoying the presence of God.

In the evening:

Spend 15-20 minutes doing the Spend 15-20 minutes doing the Daily Examen. .

  • Acknowledge how God’s presence was with you through the day. Although the day may seem confusing, ask God to bring you clarity and understanding
  • Count your blessings and give thanks. Pay attention even to the small details of the day – God was in every part of your day.
  • Pay attention to your emotions. What can you learn about yourself from God as you review your emotions from the day?
  • Choose one feature of the day and pray from it. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you to something during the day that God thinks is particularly important.
  • Look forward to tomorrow. Ask God to give you light for tomorrow’s challenges.
